Before reading further, you first have to understand these three facts
- Not every employee can claim relocation expenses. You may contact your Admin / HR of your company
- The majority of companies have a relocation budget limit. If your packers and movers cost for relocation comes above that budget limit, you have to pay the remaining amount.
- There are no chances of getting a relocation amount for a requested job transfer
Let’s examine what documents are required for Employee Relocation. The process consists of two stages (1) Preapproval of Relocation Expense (2) Allocation of Employee Expense
Documents Required for Preapproval of Relocation Expense
- You have to contact three GST-registered movers and Packers in your city and ask them for a relocation quote based on your articles and shifting distance
- Submit the same to your company, and they will approve one of the quotations of Packers and Movers
Documents required for the Allocation of Employee Expense
After getting approval from your company and schedule the moving date with Packers and Movers. Once the shifting is finished, collect these documents (given below) from the moving company and submit them to your company
- Invoice – Packers and Movers
- List of Material Copy
- LR copy (Lorry Receipt Copy)
